چکیده
Detailed hydrogen–air chemical reaction mechanisms were coupled with the three-dimensional grids of an experimental hydrogen internal combustion engine (HICE) to establish a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model based on CONVERGE software. The effects different modes and emission characteristics HICE under low load studied. simulation results showed that, increase in excess hydrogen, equivalent excessive medium-cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) dilution could improve intensity in-cylinder HICE, peak values pressure temperature cylinder, then indicated thermal efficiency load. However, larger weaken improvement performance; therefore, performance be comprehensively improved by adoption fuel–air ratio below 1.2 obtained conclusions indicate research disadvantages power performances load, they are great significance for optimization HICE. Furthermore, control strategy was proposed stability

Transient combustion control of internal combustion engines
This thesis addresses the problem of combustion control for automotive engines. A method is proposed to complement existing controllers, which use lookup tables based on steady-state operation. During transients, the new control method adjusts fast control variables (ignition or injection time) to compensate for deviations in the cylinder initial conditions from their optimal values due to the ...
